Come and See: The Marks

In these days after Easter, the Church continues to live in the glow of resurrection light. The tomb is still empty, and the promise of new life rings fresh in our hearts. Today’s readings draw us deeper into what that means for us. In Acts 2, Peter proclaims to all Jerusalem that the risen Jesus is both Lord and Christ—God’s unfailing plan fulfilled. In 1 Peter 1, we hear words of comfort for faith tested by trial. And in John 20, the risen Lord meets His fearful disciples, breathes peace into their hearts, and calls even doubters like Thomas into faith that confesses, “My Lord and my God!” As we gather in the light of Easter, we too are called from doubt to faith, from fear to peace, from death to life. May the risen Christ meet us here again today—speaking His peace, breathing His Spirit, and renewing our hope in the living Lord who still bears the wounds of love for us.
